About Freda
Freda offers more than essential period products; our company is also committed to reframing the narrative around period care. Since its foundation, Freda has adhered to core values of sustainability, social give-back, combating period poverty, and making period care accessible to women everywhere.
Freda was born from our founder Affi’s efforts to ensure that period care is provided in hygiene kits given to refugees. Along with an unerring commitment to sustainability, dignity and equity remain core company values, driving our work to overcome the societal stigmas and oversights which result in the menstrual needs of women being overlooked.
Freda partners with charities, subscribers, and diverse businesses, to ensure that women receive high-quality period care products whether they are in a refugee camp, a leisure center, an office or a hotel. We believe that period care should form an essential and accessible component of basic care, and that this can be done without compromising on core values of sustainability and social giveback.
Our products are pollutant and toxin-free, our tampons are made of 100% organic cotton, and our pads from 70% natural materials. All our products are made in a carbon-neutral factory in Sweden and wrapped in biodegradable packaging.
Freda was founded by women for women and is proud to champion them through employment opportunities and contributing a portion of our profits to initiatives that fight period poverty.
